Naturopathic Medicine treatment combines conventional diagnostics with natural therapies to treat the root causes of diseases and conditions, prevent illnesses and to support general health and wellbeing for longevity. Treatment includes but is not limited to herbal medicines, homeopathic remedies, acupuncture, supplements, vitamins, nutrition and lifestyle counselling. In order to establish a diagnosis of the condition of concern to the patient, often laboratory tests such as blood work, urine tests etc. may be ordered.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment uses eastern medicine concepts that focus on balancing the whole person, the flow of vital energy, and the body’s natural forces to treat or support health concerns, improve quality of life, prevent illnesses and to support general health and wellbeing for longevity. Various modalities can be applied in TCM such as Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, GuaSha and TuiNa.
The type of treatment or combination of treatment methods employed will depend on the individual case and conditions/ symptoms experienced by the patient. Similarly, the time for each session and the frequency of sessions will also depend on the individual case.
